The gemmological characteristics, microstructure and mineralogical characteristics of a new kind of chlorite jade——“seraphinite”—— from Russia, which is recently presented in the gem markets, are studied by using refractometer, ultraviolet fluorescence lamp, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscope (SEM).
